The Kevin Walker Foundation raises awareness for prostate cancer by encouraging early detection, supporting innovative care, and empowering men to have honest conversations about their health—honoring Kevin's legacy through action and connection.

Kevin's Story

A life fully lived — and a legacy that matters.

Kevin Walker was a passionate man with a generous heart and a brilliant mind. He loved music, practiced his guitar daily, studied Spanish, and found both humility and happiness in the ocean.

Kevin was a mentor to many and believed deeply in continuing to learn, try new things, and live life fully. After he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, that same curiosity and determination shaped the way he approached his illness.

His life—and his experience with prostate cancer—became the inspiration for the Kevin Walker Foundation and its commitment to greater awareness, earlier action, and meaningful connection.

From Our Founder

A Letter from Tina Walker

Kevin Walker was a passionate man with a generous heart and a brilliant mind. Daily, he would practice his guitar and loved listening to all types of music. He was also a student of Spanish and spent time every day reviewing his lessons.

He learned to surf at a young age, but did not return to the sport until his 50s. He was always humbled and happy with the ocean.

Kevin was a mentor to so many, especially me. He encouraged me to take up painting and made me promise to continue my practice after he passed. He encouraged me daily to keep my mind and body sharp by trying new things. It was a key to living our best life, which he did until the very end.

I am so grateful to have had such an inspiration in my life. I am forever humbled to have had the privilege to care for such a man after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in April of 2018.

The blessings he has poured upon me are beyond measurable, and I am so thankful that I can continue to share them with my friends, family and community.
